Halloween with Folkmanis
On the evening before All Saints’ Day, children in costume make their way around the neighbourhood. With hand puppets, you can act out Halloween night at home too: the owl calls from the tree, the bat sets off into the dark and the black cat creeps along the garden fence.
Out and about at night
Owls and bats are mostly active at dusk and after dark, which is why they belong to Halloween as much as a carved pumpkin. Folkmanis offers several kinds of owl, from a little pygmy owl to the great horned owl, plus a fruit bat with movable wings and a bat as a mini finger puppet.
Crow, raven and black cat
In folklore, ravens and black cats keep witches company, and in Norse myth the ravens Huginn and Muninn bring the god Odin news from all over the world. The Folkmanis crow is a hand puppet, the raven comes as a mini finger puppet, and the black cat as both. Together they make a little spooky scene with three parts.
Spider and wolf
The spider takes care of the little fright. Alongside the mini finger puppet there is a blue tarantula hand puppet. In many spooky stories the wolf howls at the moon; the Folkmanis timber wolf, grey wolf and wolf pup all have a movable mouth, so they can howl along.
