Mini finger puppets for 24 little doors
Most Folkmanis finger puppets carry ‘Mini’ in their name, and each one fits on a single finger. Even so, you can tell the species at a glance, from the spotted owl to the river otter. Fill an advent calendar with them, and by Christmas Eve you will have a whole wood or pond.
One habitat, one calendar
A shared theme turns the characters into a story. For the woods there are a fox, a hedgehog, a fawn, a raccoon, a black bear and a squirrel; for the pond and stream a frog, a toad, a beaver, a river otter, a kingfisher and a dragonfly. If you prefer birds, you will find a chickadee, a long-tailed tit, a hummingbird and several owls.
How many characters?
There is no need for a character behind every door. Many families save the mini finger puppets for the Advent Sundays and St Nicholas’ Day and fill the other days with small treats. With several children, each one can collect an animal group of their own, such as woodland animals for one and birds for another.
For nurseries and primary schools
At circle time, a different child gets to check who has moved in each day. The new animal introduces itself with a little riddle about itself and then lives in the toy box. In January, the group uses them to act out little scenes of their own.
If you have questions about a character, we’re happy to help by phone or through our contact form. Paying by invoice is available to nurseries, schools, medical and therapy practices and care homes; we enable this payment option once we have reviewed the customer account.
